
EUROPEAN REPORT

Migrants, Refugees and Racialised People in the Media. From Objects to Subjects of information is a report produced within the framework of the MILD – More Correct Information, Less Discrimination project, which promotes more accurate and non-discriminatory media representation of migrants, refugees, people with a migrant background, and racialised communities. The report provides an independent analysis of the economic, social, institutional, and cultural mechanisms that influence access to the journalism profession and the construction of media narratives, highlighting forms of stereotyping, discrimination, and racism present in the information sector. The analysis is based on four national reports produced in Greece, Italy, Malta, and Spain, identifying shared structural characteristics across the media systems of the countries examined. The report is produced by Lunaria APS in collaboration with AMAM – African Media Malta (MT), Antigone – Centre for Information and Documentation on Racism, Ecology, Peace and Nonviolence (GR), Associazione Carta di Roma (IT), and Maldita.es (ES).

ITALIAN NATIONAL REPORT

Information inequality. The invisibility of migrants, refugees and racialised people in the Italian media in Italy is realised within the Mild More correct Information Less Discrimination project. MILD promotes
the production of more accurate media coverage of migrants, asylum seekers, refugees and racialised people through research, training and communication activities. The report offers an analysis of the forms of stereotyping, discrimination and racism present in the media and policies to date, with a view to promoting accurate information about racialised people and/or those with a migrant background. The report was written by Associazione Carta di Roma and Lunaria APS.
MALTESE NATIONAL REPORT

Between Visibility and Bias. Migration Narratives in Malta’s Media Landscape is realised within the Mild More correct Information Less Discrimination project. MILD promotes
the production of more accurate media coverage of migrants, asylum seekers, refugees and racialised people through research, training and communication activities. The report offers an analysis of the forms of stereotyping, discrimination and racism present in the media and policies to date, with a view to promoting accurate information about racialised people and/or those with a migrant background. The report was written by African Media Association Malta.
GREEK NATIONAL REPORT

Media, Migration and Race in Greece. Access Barriers and Representation of Foreigners is realised within the Mild More correct Information Less Discrimination project. MILD promotes
