Cronachediordinariorazzismo.org è un sito di informazione, approfondimento e comunicazione specificamente dedicato al fenomeno del razzismo curato da Lunaria in collaborazione con persone, associazioni e movimenti che si battono per le pari opportunità e la garanzia dei diritti di cittadinanza per tutti.
MILD project is promoted by Lunaria (IT) in cooperation with African Media Association Malta (Malta), Antigone (Greece), Carta di Roma (Italy), Maldita.es (Spain), and aims to strengthening the professional skills and competencies of CSO’s workers and activists, journalists, and students from journalism schools to monitoring, reporting, and countering incorrect information, misinformation and hate speech targeting migrants, refugees, and racialized people.
Specific Objectives
To collect, analyse and share the experiences implemented at local, national and Eu level to monitor, prevent and counter incorrect media representation of migrants, refugees, and racialized people.
To develop, test and disseminate an innovative and participatory online training module to enhance the professional skills of CSO’s and media operators in reporting discriminatory narratives and producing a responsible information about migrants, refugees, and racialized people.
To sensitize mainstream media operators and students from schools of journalism to promote intercultural dialogue, human rights protection and a pacific coexistence among nationals and people coming from other countries thanks to a communication campaign.
Activities
Conducting qualitative research in 4 EU countries on media representation of migrants, refugees, and racialized people and the strategies experimented to promote diversity in media.
Design, testing and dissemination of an online training module focused on producing correct information on people with a migrant and racialised background.
Dissemination activities and campaigning to promote intercultural dialogue, the protection of human rights and peaceful coexistence between people of different national origins.

Mainstream media operators and students at schools’ journalism sensitized to promote a more correct public debate on migrations, asylum and the various forms of discrimination and racism.
LUNARIA: Lunaria is a non-profit, independent and party-autonomous social promotion association founded in 1992. It promotes peace, social and economic justice, equality and guaranteed citizenship rights, democracy and participation, social inclusion and intercultural dialogue. It practices and fosters processes of social change at local, national and international levels through advocacy, non-formal education, training and research, information and awareness-raising campaigns and through networking. The core of its social engagement are international voluntary work, youth exchange, migration and antiracism, analysis of budgetary, economic and social public policies, sustainable development, and the fight against inequality.
AMAM: The African Media Association Malta (AMAM) is a media NGO founded in 2014 with the aim to positively portray migration through various online media forms including podcasts, video clips, articles and social media presence. AMAM addresses root causes of migration. It promotes social inclusion, human rights, respect, equal opportunities, and citizen journalism. AMAM aims to enhance migrant’s media and digital literacy skills, and the organization’s activities are visible on their various online platforms.
CARTA DI ROMA: The Carta di Roma Association, established in December 2011, was created to implement and promote the Journalist’s Code of Conduct on immigration, signed by the National Council of the Order of Journalists (CNOG) and the National Federation of the Italian Press (FNSI) in June 2008. The Carta di Roma Association serves as a stable reference point for journalists, media professionals, communicators, institutions, associations, and activists involved in media coverage of migration, asylum, and minority issues. In recent years, Carta di Roma has expanded its efforts to include public awareness campaigns, educational workshops, and cultural events. The association has also established a permanent Observatory that monitors media content on a daily basis and supports academic research through data collection, analysis, and the publication of an annual report. Recognized by the European Commission, Carta di Roma contributes to monitoring online hate speech across major social media platforms. Through its strong partnerships and ongoing commitment to social inclusion, the association continues to promote the responsible representation of migration-related issues in the media.
MALDITA.ES: Fundación Maldita.es is a non-profit foundation based in Spain that builds public trust by fighting disinformation and promoting transparency through journalism, education, technology, research and policy action. Its work is underscored by specialised teams, cutting edge technological tools, and an extensive community of citizens that collaborates with the organisations in the battle against disinformation. Maldita.es’ mission is to provide all actors affected—from legislators and digital platforms to journalists, citizens & educators—with tools, capacities, and evidence-based content so that they can make informed decisions, and together foster a more resilient, accessible, and trustworthy media & information ecosystem.
ANTIGONE: “ANTIGONE – Information and Documentation Center on Racism, Ecology, Peace and Non-Violence” (ANTIGONE) is a non-profit organization that has been active in issues related to racism and discrimination, human rights, ecology, peace and non-violent conflict resolution since 1993. ANTIGONE develops actions aiming at ensuring the equal participation of all without anydiscrimination due to gender, “race”, ethnic or social origin, disability, color, religion, age, sexual orientation, etc. With a focus on solidarity and immediate activation, it seeks to contribute to the creation of appropriate conditions for all people to take an active role in the fields of social, economic and cultural life. Also, the main goal of the organization is to inform and raise awareness of the wider community on issues of non-discrimination, human rights, social ecology, non-violence and multiculturalism.
